I’ve been a musician for 20 years now. The moment I picked up the guitar my life was changed forever... and for the better! Prior to living in Austin, I spent 7 years in Los Angeles playing and singing professionally, recording, and writing my own music. I was even lucky enough to have a couple of my songs published in two independent films.
I consider myself a rock guitarist over everything, but I’m also well versed in pop, alternative and blues. I started playing guitar in the 80’s which means that I can tear up a fretboard when I want to, but I believe that finding the right part for a song has nothing to do with how many notes you can squeeze in there. (It is fun to try though!)
I'm also an accomplished vocalist. I have a knack for teaching my students how to understand their voices better and assimilate the techniques one needs to use to be a strong and versatile singer.
I’m an excellent instructor for those of you interested in understanding technique, theory, creativity, and improving your ability to listen. I am extremely passionate about music and I love to share it with my students.
